SCOOP Add-ins

ZAPP™ has developed SCOOP add-ins to extend the capabilities of a process to act on external environments.
Using its external tasks, SCOOP® can now interact with third-party systems such as Microsoft Active Directory or the software delivery from Symantec® Client Management Suite.
This item is used to inform you of the available modules, their documentation and access configuration wizards when the module has.
Our forum is open to all and if you want to improve a module so do not hesitate to open a discussion. We will be happy to provide improvements.

Using this Add-in helps earning time and money and ensures a standardized way of creating user accounts.

Scoop-Add-in

Copy Active Directory Linked Account

This add-in allows an external task to copy Groups, OU and Manager of an account in the same active directory domain.

The account is found based on its attribute msExchMasterAccountSid.

A user of domain “A” has a mailbox in domain “B”. When the mailbox is created in the domain “B” a user account is also created in the domain “B”, disabled, with the SID of the account from domain “A” in the msExchMasterAccountSid attribute.

It can be useful to copy the groups from a similar user, same department for example, in order to have the new user account in the same distribution lists.

As group membership for distribution lists are created on the domain “B”, the source user account is the one from domain “B”.

The add-in finds the account from domain “B” with the information of the account of the domain “A” using a “Me or Some else” control.

Scoop-Add-in

Create Incident in Symantec™ ServiceDesk

This add-in allows an external task to create an incident ticket in a Symantec™ ServiceDesk Server.

The task, integrated in a SCOOP Process can open the ticket and wait for a specific status to continue the process.

An example of using this external task is to open a ticket in a ServiceDesk Server for operators that are not managing their tasks in SCOOP. Another example is the creation of an incident ticket in the Symantec™ ServiceDesk when an external task fails (Creation of an account in the AD, Update of an Asset Status…).
